I'm off to the Australian Lubavitch Women's Convention tomorrow

To all my Fellow Repentants,

Tomorrow, Friday Australian time, I will be off to Jambaroo, a country town outside Sydney, Australia to attend  the Lubavitch Women's Convention. I will be bringing my trusty laptop and camera and hope, G-d willing, to come back with a  blog post reporting all the goings one, hopefully with some inspiration too.

The Lubavitcher Rebbe was always a strong advocate of women's rights. He greatly encouraged women to gather together at these conventions and take a break from their busy lives looking after their families to spend some time for themselves. So, each year women come together to recharge their spiritual batteries, reconnect with each other, learn Torah, get inspired, and have fun!

In the Rebbe's words to the women's convention of 1991 in America,

“You are the righteous women of the last generation of exile, and you will be the righteous women of the first generation of redemption.”
